    SiteWise Corporation, a Colorado owned and operated utility contractor, has provided turnkey construction and engineering services since 1987. These services include a wide variety of distribution/mainline construction, gas operations and maintenance, and meter/system interface services. SiteWise service offerings are enhanced by additional departments dedicated to utility locating, hydro excavation, subsurface utility engineering and route mapping.

     

     

    The HDD/Reconstruction Supervisor is responsible for interaction with the utility and end customers through all phases of main and/or service utility installation.  This position is also responsible for all the necessary documentation (work orders completion, sketches, daily time cards, etc.). He or she will anticipate internal and external customer needs and position the department to uphold the corporate vision, mission and values and provide Superintendent input to meet future business needs in a competitive environment. This person will be accountable for attaining organizational goals and objectives, deploying and implementing corporate policies. He or she will provide leadership for a construction staff of approximately 2 to 4 foreman and 2 to 4 crews comprised of 8-20 employees and within the Denver Metro, Northern Colorado, Mountains and Front Range Area. Establish and maintains excellent customer relationships with all clients.  

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for coordinating and executing day to day operations. Optimizing and actively managing the work hours of employees and assets of the company. Proactively manages the business and provides feedback to the Superintendent.
    • Responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, training and standards of the company and each individual client are met.
    • Develops weekly and daily scheduling. Has regular communication with install supervisors on working jobs and future jobs.
    • Responsible for the daily completion and review of all the necessary paperwork required by the company and clients including vehicle inspections, JSA’s etc.
    • Responsible for ordering and tracking all materials and supplies needed to perform day-to-day tasks.
    • Proficiency in the successful mentoring, coaching and discipline of department employees for the improvement of performance and preparation of additional responsibilities.
    • Deliver continuous Improvement in productivity, safety, quality and cost.
    • Assist with getting the crews out in the morning and visits work crews on a daily basis. May assist the crews with minor repairs, delivery of parts when needed, etc.
    • Has a clear understanding and working knowledge of the financial statements of the department under his/her supervision, identifying and implementing improvements for the profitability of the department.
    • Integrates the organization’s business plan, goals and action items, including cost management/ profitability through day-to-day decisions and communication.
    • Administers compliance of fleet policies and procedures. Provides leadership to optimize vehicle utilization and minimize life cycle cost.
    • Participation in industry/professional forums in order to stay abreast of industry direction and new technologies.

    Qualifications

    • Job planning and execution for multi project coordination, to include but not limited to timely completion of jobs.
    • Strong communication skills, instructs employees on company core values (TRAITS,) company and client policies, and safety policies. Effectively communicates via email, phone and in person with appropriate parties.
    • Strong customer service skills; ability to build relationships with employees and clients.
    • Problem solving skills, conflict resolution with an eye towards customer service while keeping company’s best interest in mind.
    • Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to customers and resolve issues.
    • Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience using Microsoft Office; computer acumen.
    • Knowledge of utility locates, procedures and bore equipment used.
    • Ability to read and understand print/locate sketches from customers.
    • Must be confident in decisions made in the field or when to ask for assistance.
    • Ability to work weekends and stay into the evening when needed.
    • Colorado driver’s license, CDL preferred with good motor vehicle history. Able to be insured by the company for driving purposes.

     

     

    Education & Experience

    • High school diploma or equivalent, and completion of some college courses preferred.
    • 5-10 years’ experience in a construction role.
    • 2-5 years’ prior management experience.
    • 2-5 years’ prior HDD experience required.
    • Prior utility construction experience strongly preferred.
