  • Overview

    We currently have an opportunity for a Safety, Quality, and Training (SQT) Administrator. This position assists the department in carrying out a variety of safety, quality and training programs and procedures for all company employees. Escalates matters to the SQT director, as appropriate.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for accepting and processing all excavation damage call-ins and generating damage reports.
    • Assists in administration and maintenance of employee record systems to include issued equipment & assets, worker’s compensation, quality audits, operator qualification training, safety and quality training and other employee records. Performs routine filing, scanning, and archiving of records to ensure record retention compliance.
    • Prepares statistical data and compiles reports (internal and external reports) for the SQT on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis; maintains other records, reports, and logs pertaining to SQT programs.
    • Capable of developing and creating monthly, quarterly, or annual OSHA record keeping reports using excel computer programs that can extract, summarize and present statistical data accurately from a number of sources.
    • Assists coordinating and scheduling organizational training and development activities. Performs data entry to maintain employee training records in company and vendor systems. Conducts data exports and imports as required; resolves errors and record discrepancies.
    • Assists SQT training personnel in the development and publication of training materials using appropriate media including video, PowerPoint, handouts, manuals, etc.
    • Develops and maintains efficient electronic libraries for Training, Safety, and Quality materials.
    • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars. Coordinates meetings, events, and activities for the SQ department staff.
    • Performs other related duties as required and assigned (special projects, company activities, etc.).

    Qualifications

    • Strong Computer literacy (strong and accurate data entry, MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint abilities).
    • Comfortable multitasking and switching tasks based on needs.
    • Requires effective oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Must be reliable in attendance and ability to meet deadlines without a decline in quality of work.
    • Travel to multiple business locations to meet the needs of employees and the organization is required up to 10% of the time (company mileage reimbursement policy applies).
    • Serves as an example in meeting organizational standards and policies.
    • High School diploma or equivalent, OR Two-years administrative experience in the training or safety field, OR Any similar combination of education and experience.
