Overview

SiteWise Corporation, a Colorado owned and operated utility contractor, has provided turnkey construction and engineering services since 1987. These services include a wide variety of distribution/mainline construction, gas operations and maintenance, and meter/system interface services. SiteWise service offerings are enhanced by additional departments dedicated to utility locating, hydro excavation, subsurface utility engineering and route mapping.

 The Fleet Manager will provide visionary and strategic leadership, direction and control for the SiteWise fleet. Anticipates and positions the organization to meet future business needs in a competitive environment. Accountable for attaining organizational goals and objectives, deploy and implement corporate policies. Provide leadership for a fleet staff overseeing a fleet of approximately 400 units with an estimated value of $10 Million

Responsibilities

  • Direct responsibility for coordinating and executing the purchase and sale of vehicle and equipment assets.
  • Direct responsibility for managing manufacturer warranties to the benefit of SiteWise.
  • Responsible for implementing a vehicle and equipment software tracking system monitoring vehicle and equipment performance, effectiveness of Fleet Services and track of all shop records related to parts, repairs and maintenance within the software system.
  • Responsible for optimized asset management of approximately a 400-unit fleet, with emphasis on safety, meeting customer requirements, compliance with regulations, and cost benefit.
  • Integrates the organization's business plan, goals and budgets with corporate strategic goals and objectivees. Meets budget responsibilities through performance evaluatoin, economic modeling and leading team process improvement.
  • Developes leadership, selects and maintains a multifunctional, diversified, well-trainer, motivated and empowered workforce. Provides leadership for a workforce of approximately 8 to 10 employees. Models innovative approaches.
  • Administers development of fleet policies and procedures. Provides leadership in new product and equipment design and standardazation, and in the development of programs that will optimize vehicle utilication and minimize life cycle cost.
  • Ensure compliance with numerous federal, state and local laws, regulations codes and ordinances. Assesses complex competitive/technical issues and political social issues and developes strategies to achieve results that consider the perspective of a wide array of stakeholders. 
  • Participation in industry/professional forums in order to stay abreast of industry direction and new technologies.
  • Minimize overall material inventory value and pursue vendor managed material relationships when it benefits SiteWise.
  • Manage purchase contracts to protect SiteWise interests. Deliver continuous improvement in supplier delivery, quality and cost.
  • Proactively plan for material demands and ensure timely receipt of materials to support construction schedules.

  • Proactively manage material exceptions and provide feedback to Construction and Engineering Management on critical information.

  • Interface with Construction and Engineering Management to establish workflow including material release dates and release order.

Qualifications

  • Established Fleet Manager with proven fleet growth
  • Experience in vehicle and equipment maintenance programs
  • Experience with Fleet software systems including manufacture software
  • Able to work within department and Capital Expense Budgets.
  • Can develop and justify budgeting requirements.
  • Third party fleet sourcing negations
  • Fleet purchase/lease agreements
  • Spec fleet vehicles for the best use of capital Expense budgets.
  • Cost analysis of fleet use vs. cost of maintenance
  • Inventory Management
  • Proven leadership skills, and excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management preferred.
  • 5+ years of previous applicable experience.
  • Performs detail oriented tasks using advanced math and analysis skills. MS Office skills required
